The energy company Skånska Energi has initiated a collaboration with Bright Energy AB. Through the collaboration, Skånska Energi’s customers get access to Bright’s digital platform, which makes it easier to consume environmentally friendly electricity in a more efficient and sustainable way.

We are very happy about the new collaboration with Skånska Energi. With the help of our technology, customers get the opportunity to control their electricity use and maximize the climate benefits from renewable energy, says David Forsberg, founder and CEO of Bright.

With Bright’s digital platform, via app and desktop, Skånska Energi’s customers gain increased awareness of their energy consumption. Through the platform, customers can understand and automate their electricity use and to easily control consumption to hours that are better for both the wallet and the environment.

We want to minimize carbon dioxide emissions and ensure that our energy is used as efficiently as possible. With the help of Bright’s digital platform, our customers can control their electricity use in real time and reduce their climate impact, says Anders Möller, CEO of Skånska Energi.

Skånska Energi produces 100 percent renewable electricity from solar and hydropower and is certified according to the environmental management standard.

Together with our smart partners, we at Bright want to be involved and contribute to a more sustainable future. We are proud to now also be able to share our digital platform with Skånska Energi’s customers, says David Forsberg.

Bright was established in 2012 and was first aimed directly at consumers. Bright is now collaborating with other electricity, grid and product companies that want to offer their customers an easy opportunity to control their electricity use. The purpose is to maximize the climate benefits from renewable energy sources and help Sweden’s electricity grid to cope with an increased load.

Facts: This is how Bright’s platform works

Bright has built an open and data-driven digital platform with which the electricity companies Bright collaborates offer their customers. Households are stimulated by various tools to avoid electricity use during the hours of the day when many people use electricity at the same time, so-called power peaks. The technology also makes it possible to automate the charging of electric cars and maximize the climate benefits from solar and wind power. At the same time, the technology helps Sweden’s electricity network to cope with the load from more electric cars. Bright’s platform also gives electricity companies the opportunity to strengthen the relationship with their end customers, with the help of expanded dialogue and digital services. Customers are given tools to understand, control and automate their electricity use, at a lower cost and reduced environmental impact. The platform is based on the customer’s own usage patterns and dat

Dimensioning the electricity networks according to the highest power peaks will be much more expensive than distributing the electricity consumption more evenly throughout the day and promoting consumption flexibility. Smart electricity networks aim to provide a sustainable and reliable electricity supply in a renewable energy system with the help of automation and digitization.

Bright’s platform makes this automation and digitization easy for the end user, and is available as an app and on the desktop. Bright’s platform also makes it possible for electricity companies to strengthen their relationship with their customers with the help of expanded dialogue and digital services. End customers are given tools to understand, control and automate their electricity use, at a lower cost and reduced environmental impact. Bright Energy AB was established in 2012 and collaborates with energy companies that want to strengthen the relationship with their end customers and at the same time offer them tools for smarter electricity use with reduced environmental impact.
