HEM joins forces with the technology company Bright Energy AB to offer a digital service for its customers that provides control of energy consumption and climate impact. HEM will also be the first in Sweden to use Bright for its entire service portfolio with connections to both energy and environmental services.

Now HEM, Halmstads Energi och Miljö, is taking the step and making it even easier for its customers to act consciously, climate-smartly and energy-efficiently. With Bright’s digital platform, which will be available both on hem.se and as a mobile app, it will be possible for customers to easily keep track of their energy consumption, see their climate impact and in the long run the day for garbage collection.

Digital service that facilitates everyday life

The collaboration with Bright is an important step in increasing customer satisfaction by offering digital services that simplify and facilitate our customers’ everyday lives. Especially from a climate perspective. That we will also be the first in the Swedish market to add both energy and environmental services in one and the same platform naturally feels extremely exciting, says Daniel Snygg Online & Digital Manager at HEM.

A central part of HEM’s ongoing digitization work is to be available and to meet customers in the channel they themselves want. This spring, a chat was launched on the website that makes it possible to guide and give advice on issues related to energy and the environment.

One effect of the chat, the new digital service, is that HEM reaches significantly more customers without sacrificing incoming calls. It is also one of the reasons why the choice now fell on Bright.

That we chose Bright is a lot because of the user-friendliness. The platform is intuitive and makes it possible for our customers to easily get tips on how to concretely reduce their climate impact in the form of energy saving tips and the like exactly when and how they want. It is an added value that we believe will be enormously appreciated by our customers, says Daniel Snygg.

Technology and simplicity in focus

Bright has been around since 2012 and now collaborates with several other energy companies that want to offer their customers an easy opportunity to control their electricity use. The purpose is to maximize the climate benefits from renewable energy sources and help Sweden’s electricity grid to cope with an increased load.

We at Bright are incredibly happy that we became the supplier that gets to develop a digital platform for HEM and their end customers. This is a journey we will make together and we look forward to working close to HOME for many years to come, says Camilla Forsberg COO and Customer Manager at Bright Energy.

Bright’s digital platform suits all HEM’s customers. From the customer who only wants to be able to see, follow and pay their invoice to customers with solar cells on the roof who want to follow their solar production and charge the electric car in better hours, for example.

The digital service will be launched in early 2021 and will then be developed with more functions and services in the future.
