March 22, 2024, Stockholm – Software company Bright announces that Pontus Winberg will assume the role of the company’s new CEO. Pontus takes over leadership from founder David Forsberg, who will continue his involvement within the company.

Pontus Winberg brings extensive experience in the energy industry. He has previously served as CEO of the electricity company GodEl and held leading positions in fast-growing, international growth companies within electrification and AI software. His expertise and strategic approach will be crucial in continuing to drive Bright forward and address the company’s opportunities and challenges.

“The energy transition, which is only just beginning, places increasingly higher demands on energy companies to communicate with their customers in a good and efficient manner. Bright’s modern white-label solutions help energy companies provide their customers with better control, insight, and understanding of their consumption, as well as the opportunity to influence their costs and CO2 impact in a simple way. I look forward to continuing to develop Bright and building strong relationships with our existing and new customers and partners,” says Pontus Winberg.

Chairman Nils Carlsson adds

“It’s very exciting to see Pontus start as CEO of Bright in the growth phase we are in. With his leadership qualities combined with experience from both large corporations, growth companies in international expansion, and the electricity industry, I believe he has what it takes to take the company to the next level.”
